Description
The Fisher Bullet Space Pen – Raw Brass is a compact, durable writing instrument with a timeless and utilitarian design. Originally created in 1948, the Bullet Pen has become an iconic product of Fisher Space Pen Co. and a recognized example of industrial design, earning its place in the permanent collection of the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
When closed, the pen measures just 9.5 cm (3.74 in), making it easy to carry in a pocket, wallet, bag, glove box, organizer, or toolbox. When opened, it extends to a full-sized 13.5 cm (5.31 in) pen with a balanced feel suitable for everyday writing. The body is made from solid raw brass with an antimicrobial surface that is naturally resistant to bacteria and microbes, and it develops a unique patina over time with use.
Manufactured in Nevada, USA, the pen uses Fisher’s pressurised FSPR4 refill with black medium-point ink. Thanks to its sealed cartridge, tungsten carbide ballpoint, and patented thixotropic ink, it writes reliably in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, over oil and grease, and in temperatures ranging from –30 °F to +250 °F (–34 °C to +121 °C). Like all Fisher Space Pens, it is designed to write significantly longer than a standard ballpoint pen.
