Survival Match Case with Strikers. 3.60" overall length. 1.20" diameter. Textured aluminum construction with lanyard loop. Match capacity: 40 kitchen matches, 32 NATO matches or 25 stormproof matches. Fits matches up to 2.9" in length. Note: For maximum match capacity, place a majority of the matches head up with a few head down. Two built-in strikers work well with both safety and strike anywhere matches. O-ring sealed. Waterproof to more than 5 meters. Same design as the MATCHCAP original except XL version features: larger, improved striking surfaces; and larger diameter and height for increased capacity. The new design leaves up to 0.3" to spare for tinder storage when using stormproof matches and nearly half of the MATCHCAP XL is available for storage if using kitchen matches. The extra space may also be used to store water purification tablets, medicine, fishing hooks, first aid supplies, etc. Packaged with extra O-rings, extra match strikers, and instruction manual. CS Shamshir asemoituu tuntumaltaan jonnekin keskiarvon yläpuolelle tässä hintaluokassa. CS omiin tuotteisiin verrattuna selvästi kevyempi ja tasapainoisempi kädessä kuin esim. Light Cavalry Saber tai Polish Saber, mutta ei taas niin hyvä kuin Indian Tulwar. Siisti ja hyvä ulkonäkö, ei repsottavia reunoja yms. Kahva on jotain muovia yms. synteettistä, ei oikein selviä (”faux horn”?) mutta varsin sileä ja jopa liukas. Kahvan pään kaarevuus ja ”klunssi” toki jeesaavat että säilä pysyy lapasessa eikä päädy kaseikkoon, mutta perus sapelin kahvaan tottuneille vaatii opettelua. Miekka oli ihan hyvässä terässä saapuessa. Hyvä kokonaisuus hintaan nähden.
The action was great right out of the box, absolutely no need for breaking the knife in. Lockup is solid as with Civivi button locks they typically are. Fits in the hand like a glove and the textured ultem gives the handle a nice added grip.
Has an ok finger choil but good grippy jimping on the back of the blade to help out if you're choking up towards the tip. Overall this is a Civivi classic and you cannot go wrong with it or any of the other Elementum variations, be it button or liner lock.

Perfect function and finish - just like all the onther little artworks made by Maratac / Countycomm!
Very nice machete, light for it's size and made of 5160 steel which is better than 1055 that is used in most of machetes, only handle is a bit too rough so you will need to use gloves.
