As with all Maxpedition backpacks, the load-bearing capacity can be expanded greatly with other Maxpedition modular pockets, added to the backpack's front or side PALS attachment points using Malice clips. Hydration compartment is compatible with most aftermarket hydration systems (hydration reservoir is NOT included). lon thread (stronger than ordinary industry standard nylon thread). #AS-100 high grade closed-cell foam padding material for superior shock protection. High tensile strength nylon webbing. #10 high strength zippers and zipper tracks. UTX-Duraflex nylon buckles for low sound closures.

The action was great right out of the box, absolutely no need for breaking the knife in. Lockup is solid as with Civivi button locks they typically are. Fits in the hand like a glove and the textured ultem gives the handle a nice added grip.
Has an ok finger choil but good grippy jimping on the back of the blade to help out if you're choking up towards the tip. Overall this is a Civivi classic and you cannot go wrong with it or any of the other Elementum variations, be it button or liner lock.

Very nice machete, light for it's size and made of 5160 steel which is better than 1055 that is used in most of machetes, only handle is a bit too rough so you will need to use gloves.
