Absolutely fantastic backpack, I like everything about it! It feels and looks very well built. There is really nothing negative to say, therefore five stars from me.

My only regret with this knife is I didn’t buy the magnacut/salt version. Super sharp out the box and a workhorse of a folder. Lock is still tight but that will ease off, it already has. I’m thinking of changing the scales over now I can order from the American market.
For a 2nd Spyderco it’s a wicked knife and a very fair price. It’s made me want to collect more, I’ve bought the PM2 & the native 5 since.
Living by the sea I prefer magnacut or Maxamet but this is still awesome and my first large Spyderco(have the grasshopper & 2 above are in the post)
Great lock on it, can use it to flick open which is cool. Very sturdy.
As you may guess I’m very impressed with this Manix 2.
I ordered this exact type of knife on another website and got the knife but I wasn’t really satisfied with it because of small flaws. I know this can always be the case with handmade knives but still I ordered another one at Borras Outdoor. The one I got from Borras Outdoor was perfect, so I’m very happy.
If you’re looking for a good and affordable cutlass that comes close to the legendary 1917 cutlass, you’ll be very satisfied with the Honshu 1917 Hybrid Cutlass. Top quality at an affordable price.
A very impressive backlock from the masters of hard use folders. I was pleased that the version I received was in 4116 ss instead of the 4034 advertised. The 4 inch blade and full length of 9.5 inches dissappear in the pocket due to the ultra slim and lightweight nature of this model. The grind is superb and makes for a superb slicer and seems so far to hold an edge very well. The texturing on the scales gives this blade more grip in hand than any knife of any style/brand I've ever used. I have given four stars and not five due to the one negative point I can find about this model. The pocket clip is so tight that with the texturing on the scales it renders it usable out of the box. I removed the clip and sanded the scale underneath, then slightly bent the clip up to resolve the issue, which has worked well. Otherwise a superb offering from cold steel knives.
An excellent pocket knife, suitable for daily use based on its design. I recommend it to everyone. Thank you!
Egy kiváló zsebkés, a kidolgozása alapján megfelel a napi használatra. Mindenkinek ajánlom. Köszönöm!
mielestäni hyvin kätevä ja sopivan kokoinen, ei liian iso. terävä ja tuntuu laadukkaalta, hintaan nähden erittäin hyvä
I rigged mine with cold steel's large c-clip for horizontal carry. The clip that the sheath comes with is basically useless.
Knife itself is ground well and came out the box reasonably sharp. It has some pretty sharp corners though, that bite into your hand and fingers at times. I'm gonna sandpaper it down and round them corners.
It's a small knife, but It seems quite capable.
RR has listened to the requests of its users and customers! The knife features a single blade made from high-quality carbon steel and does not have "R" as a trademark. It has beautifully crafted handles with a smooth paint finish. The knife feels great in your hand and comes razor-sharp straight out of the box! Thank you once again to the Borras outdoor team!
Sonst sehr zufrieden.
Positive: I love the blade shape and the D2 steel. It feels great in the hand and came fantastically sharp.
Negative: The knife broke in less than a week. It is described as ‘A/O’ ie assisted opening. I can only assume that what Al Mar meant by that is that you need to get somebody else to help you flick the knife open. It was stiff beyond belief!
Now, one might posit that this was just a problem with this individual knife. However, the YouTube reviews I have read since, (there is an interesting Russian one), suggest that it is a common failing.
However, my problems were solved when, within days of having the knife, the internal spring snapped anyway. This vastly improved the knife!
I have since taken the cover off and removed the broken spring. The remains of the broken spring, this morning, was poking through the FRN grip and into my hand.
So now it is a flipper that does not ‘flip.’
Either Al Mar should abandon the A/O idea and just put a thumb stud (as with the original Al Mar SERE 2000) or they should work on the internal mechanism and (a) produce a spring that means that people who are not superhuman can open it and (b) have a spring that will last more than a week.
Brilliant knife for any enthusiast,
I was like a kid at Christmas opening the well packaged box, and to my surprise the knife turned better than I expected.
The performance and build of the knife was second to none, and the finish was top level, this is the first WE knife I have purchased and it will not be the last.
I have been a knife collector for the last forty years, and the knives I chose some have quadrupled in price and more. Every collector should look at WE knives before they make there next purchase.
Ordered the Bear & Son Cocobolo Pen Knife and absolutely love it. A very good quality item and definitely recommend Borras Outdoor.
Lovely piece added to the collection and display very happy with all of the Honshu items so far!
Excellent knife, real rams horn handles, no half-stop, very very sharp out of the box! Good quality made knife from Rough Ryder and super quick delivery with careful packaging from Borras outdoor team! 5/5
I used a microcrystalline wax on one of my shiny D2 blades (Odin’s Toothpick) and instantly regretted it as it dulled and smudged its lovely shiny finish. I tried removing it with white spirit with moderate success. Then I remembered I had this new Blue Lube Cleaner. I applied it with a tissue in a careful circular motion and it removed ALL the wax, shined the blade back up to its former glory and leaves an invisible, protective layer. It has a pleasant, very subtle orangey citrus fragrance too. I’ll use this on all my blades and so should you!
