The stainless steel blade is easy to maintain and also has a black anticorrosive DLC coating, which provides further protection against environmental exposure. Further, the teeth of the blade are strategically placed closer to the handle, so that you can work with both teeth and a normal edge. The spine has been ground so that you can use the knife together with a fire starter â so your critical fire is never far away. The knife sheath has a belt loop and clip of course keeping your knife always close at hand. The knife sheath has a MOLLE compatible cover made of strong nylon giving you a range of different mounting alternatives.

The action was great right out of the box, absolutely no need for breaking the knife in. Lockup is solid as with Civivi button locks they typically are. Fits in the hand like a glove and the textured ultem gives the handle a nice added grip.
Has an ok finger choil but good grippy jimping on the back of the blade to help out if you're choking up towards the tip. Overall this is a Civivi classic and you cannot go wrong with it or any of the other Elementum variations, be it button or liner lock.

Very nice machete, light for it's size and made of 5160 steel which is better than 1055 that is used in most of machetes, only handle is a bit too rough so you will need to use gloves.
