The stainless steel blade is simple to maintain and also has a black anticorrosive DLC coating, giving it even more protection to environmental exposure. The teeth of the blade sit strategically closest to the handle, so you can work both with teeth and a normal edge. The spine of the blade has been ground so that you can use it together with fire starter â which means critical fire is never far away. The knife sheath contains a belt loop and clip so your knife is always close at hand.

The action was great right out of the box, absolutely no need for breaking the knife in. Lockup is solid as with Civivi button locks they typically are. Fits in the hand like a glove and the textured ultem gives the handle a nice added grip.
Has an ok finger choil but good grippy jimping on the back of the blade to help out if you're choking up towards the tip. Overall this is a Civivi classic and you cannot go wrong with it or any of the other Elementum variations, be it button or liner lock.

Very nice machete, light for it's size and made of 5160 steel which is better than 1055 that is used in most of machetes, only handle is a bit too rough so you will need to use gloves.
