The back spring is stiff, just like on traditional pocket knives of the past, yet it can still be opened easily with two hands using the nail nick. This is my second (Schrade) Uncle Henry stockman. I like the size of this Senior Rancher. It’s slightly smaller than a Case 75 pattern stockman but very similar in its build. The fit and finish of this knife is good for the price. The knife arrived sharp. Good value for the money!

Die Größe passt perfekt für die Hosentasche, die Klingen sind scharf und laufen sauber mit mittlerem Federdruck. Und bei dem Preis kann ich die Spalten zwischen den Platinen und Federn verschmerzen. Einen halben Punkt hätte ich schon abgezogen.

Kun malttaa kuljettaa terää hahlon läpi kevyesi (kovaa painamalla ja vähän vinossa asennossa tulee helposti karkea kierre terän suuhun) niin että terä vain liukuu hahlon läpi suorassa kulmassa, niin leikkaa karvaa ilman keraamista puolta jos vielä yhtä kevyesti pyyhkäisee keraamisella niin ei pitäisi vaativallakaan teroittajalla olla moitittavaa.

A very nice knife in the Sod Buster Jr. style, but with a backlock. The carbon steel blade is easy to sharpen and is great for everyday use. I would buy it again 😉
