Proper navigation equipment in the field is the piece of gear that is crucial to your survival. When modern technology fail, there is nothing more reliable then a classic lensatic (prismatic) compass. The RANGER MK2 compass is one of the most classic, yet almost bombproof navigation devices on known to all of us. The plastic construction is lightweight yet durable, so it won't fail you. On the sides you have two types of scales: 1:25000 and 1:50000. To make it even more reliable, especially during night activities, the compass is equipped with phosphorescent parts. Features:

The action was great right out of the box, absolutely no need for breaking the knife in. Lockup is solid as with Civivi button locks they typically are. Fits in the hand like a glove and the textured ultem gives the handle a nice added grip.
Has an ok finger choil but good grippy jimping on the back of the blade to help out if you're choking up towards the tip. Overall this is a Civivi classic and you cannot go wrong with it or any of the other Elementum variations, be it button or liner lock.

Very nice machete, light for it's size and made of 5160 steel which is better than 1055 that is used in most of machetes, only handle is a bit too rough so you will need to use gloves.
