Scout Mk2 Firestarter is a set that allows you to light a fire effectively without using matches or a lighter. The steel box included in the set lets you carry the firestarter and other elements without the risk of losing them. The Bushcraft Line logo printed on it allows you to easily identify the set. The Scout MK2 firestarter is very easy to use. Even a slight movement of the scraper should generate enough sparks to light the cotton wool or birch bark. Features:

The action was great right out of the box, absolutely no need for breaking the knife in. Lockup is solid as with Civivi button locks they typically are. Fits in the hand like a glove and the textured ultem gives the handle a nice added grip.
Has an ok finger choil but good grippy jimping on the back of the blade to help out if you're choking up towards the tip. Overall this is a Civivi classic and you cannot go wrong with it or any of the other Elementum variations, be it button or liner lock.

Very nice machete, light for it's size and made of 5160 steel which is better than 1055 that is used in most of machetes, only handle is a bit too rough so you will need to use gloves.
