The BeaverCraft AX3 Woodcraft Bushcraft Splitting Hatchet is a compact and versatile axe designed for bushcraft, camping, woodworking, and general outdoor use. With an overall length of approximately 33.5 cm (13.19 in), it offers a balanced size that supports controlled splitting, carving, and wood processing tasks in the field or around camp.
The axe head is made from 1066 high-carbon steel and features a convex grind with a curved cutting edge, allowing deeper penetration into wood and efficient splitting performance. Zone hardening with a hardness range of 56–58 HRC supports durability and reliable edge performance during repeated use.
The ergonomic handle is crafted from ashwood and treated with linseed oil and wax to enhance durability and grip comfort. This construction allows for precise control during carving tasks while maintaining the strength required for splitting. The hatchet is supplied with a cowhide leather sheath featuring a belt loop, enabling safe storage and convenient carry during outdoor activities.
