Description
Measures 6 1/2" high when open, 4 1/4" when closed. Aluminum construction. Spring-loaded candle tube keeps the flame height constant, while a small viewing window shows how much candle remains. Lantern collapses to compact size for transport. Twist lock base allows easy access for replacing candle. Useful for backpacking, camping, boating, at home, or for emergency lighting needs. For use with CDL10030 or CDL10033 candles (available separately).

The action was great right out of the box, absolutely no need for breaking the knife in. Lockup is solid as with Civivi button locks they typically are. Fits in the hand like a glove and the textured ultem gives the handle a nice added grip.
Has an ok finger choil but good grippy jimping on the back of the blade to help out if you're choking up towards the tip. Overall this is a Civivi classic and you cannot go wrong with it or any of the other Elementum variations, be it button or liner lock.

Very nice machete, light for it's size and made of 5160 steel which is better than 1055 that is used in most of machetes, only handle is a bit too rough so you will need to use gloves.
