Description
The Helle Didi Galgalu knife is designed in collaboration with the Voetspore team of South Africa. The knife is designed to withstand the hardships of transcontinental journeys of Africa. Named after the Didi Galgalu Desert in Northern Kenya, seen by many as the last frontier of Africa.
The Didi Galgalu utilizes a full tang construction. Three rivets reinforce the African Kiaat wood handle. Blade thin enough to preform as a knife should when cutting or carving. The Scandinavian ground blade, genuine leather sheath, and Kiaat-wood handle assure Helleâs renowned rugged beauty.

The action was great right out of the box, absolutely no need for breaking the knife in. Lockup is solid as with Civivi button locks they typically are. Fits in the hand like a glove and the textured ultem gives the handle a nice added grip.
Has an ok finger choil but good grippy jimping on the back of the blade to help out if you're choking up towards the tip. Overall this is a Civivi classic and you cannot go wrong with it or any of the other Elementum variations, be it button or liner lock.

Perfect function and finish - just like all the onther little artworks made by Maratac / Countycomm!
Very nice machete, light for it's size and made of 5160 steel which is better than 1055 that is used in most of machetes, only handle is a bit too rough so you will need to use gloves.
