You need some muscle work to sharpen.

It takes a while (like 30 minutes) to sharpen a knife from scratch. But the system works.
Be aware that some finer kitchen knives are angled at 10-15 degrees, and this set's minimum is 17deg.
Further, don't buy the C-clamp. The jiggling movement simply "breaks" the screw hole.
